The Vietnamese traditional music is very nice but difficult to find. It is more and more replaced by heavy American connoted pop music…All will be lost with globalization.
However, you will easily find books about the Country, on historical, sociological, ethnological, cultural and economic topics…

The list of movies that moved me will be shorter. The great majority of movies talk about war or colonization. I do not question in any case their quality, or the historical interest, but I do not recognize my Viet Nam through their images… The only three movies that can draw out my emotions and where I do recognize my Country, both in terms of complex psychological aspect and of beauty of colors, is movie director Tran Anh Hung’s trilogy:
